Ik gebruik sinds kort Pinnacle studio 14, in mijn pc zit bovenstaande videokaart. Puur uit belangstelling heb ik de 3D Check gedaan. Ik vind dat er erg veel errors in staan.

Heeft iemand enig idee, hoe dit is op te lossen?

Ik vond het ook een geweldige kaart.
Ikzelf had de ASUS GTX 285 Matrix, maar die heb ik helaas moeten vervangen voor de GTX 295 omdat ik de technische staat ervan niet vertrouwde.( High End Nvidia kaarten zijn momenteel slecht verkrijgbaar.)
Ik weet niet of het een bekend euvel is van de GTX 285 van ASUS maar bij mijn kaart maakte een vreemd ratelend geluid als de kaart redelijk belast werd.
Ik heb toen geen 3D testen uitgevoerd, maar ik was er van overtuigd dat het niet de koelfan was.
Het ratelende geluid kwam vanuit de print en dat hoort niet.
Controleer de kaart voor de zekerheid op ratelende geluiden bij zware belasting.
Zorg inderdaad zoals anderen al aangeven hebben voor de laatse driver versie.
Als je je kaart eventueel wilt monitoren, kan je het programma Riva tuner, gratis te downloaden. Dan kun je grafisch je temperaturen, fan en mem.clock snelheden bekijken.
Ik gebruik Rivatuner om mijn kaart te underclocken om het energie verbruik van de GTX kaart iets in te dammen tijdens het videobewerken.( Low Performance 2D instelling.)

Hier staat toch echt dat het om ventilator snelheid gaat. Als die niet goed wordt geregeld dan kan die gaan resoneren/bokken noem maar op. Maar een slechte ophanging kan het probleem ook veroorzaken.

De GTX heeft een progressieve koeler die, naarmate er meer van de grafische kaart wordt gevraagd, sneller gaat draaien. Dat zou dus heel goed de reden van het bijgeluid kunnen zijn. Het is net als bij autowielen, zodra de omwentelingssnelheid van de ventilator in een bepaald gebied komt, kan onbalans merkbaar worden. Bij autowielen is vaak ook te merken dat in een snelheidsbereik tussen 75 en 95 km/u het stuur danig kan gaan trillen. Daarbeneden en daarboven merk je er niks van.
Maar om nou een ventilator van een grafische kaart te gaan uitbalanceren........??????

In mijn geval was het niet de fan, die had ik namelijk getest met Rivatuner door deze naar een dutycycle van 100% te sturen terwijl de kaart nagenoeg niet belast was.
Het ratelende geluid was toen niet hoorbaar.
Als ik de kaart daarop ging stressen kwam het ratelen direct opzetten.
Ik heb de kaart laten nakijken en de winkel beaamde dat het niet de fan maar de kaart zelf was.
Kon hem helaas niet ruilen voor een andere GTX 285 want die waren toen niet meer te krijgen.
Nvidia had toen grote problemen met leveren van hun grafische chips.
Anders had deze GTX 285 nu in mijn systeem zitten.
Alhoewel je mij absoluut niet hoort klagen over de GTX 295 die nu in mijn systeem zit!
